CDIC may collect, use and disclose personal information under the authority of the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation Act for compliance purposes and to make deposit insurance payments to eligible depositors. In the case of member institutions, CDIC requires information about depositors at member institutions in order to process deposit insurance payments for those depositors.

This portal facilitates communications and data-sharing between CDIC and member institutions for that purpose. We may engage service providers to assist us in processing personal information for these purposes.

All personal information collected by CDIC is protected under the Privacy Act, which gives individuals the right to access and correct their personal information.
